This Weekend, My Story Becomes Yours Too

Six years ago, I felt God calling me to write my story — not just for me, but for every kid who’s ever felt forgotten. I started writing... then life happened. I shelved the book. I told myself I’d come back to it when the timing was right.

Then I lost my brother to addiction.

That pain lit a fire in me. I knew I couldn’t wait any longer to finish the story — not just for him, but for every young person fighting their way through poverty, addiction, broken homes, or just trying to survive another day. I had to get this book out.

This weekend, Me and Poverty: A Journey of Inspiration and Escape officially launches. It’s part memoir, part mission. It tells the raw, honest story of a kid who went from abandoned and homeless to redeemed and hopeful — by God’s grace and through the help of some good people along the way.

This isn’t just a book. It’s a tool. I wrote it for mentors, youth workers, teachers, counselors, and pastors who pour into young people every day. And I wrote it for the kids they serve — the ones who feel stuck and unseen.

A portion of every book sold will go toward a scholarship to help at-risk youth access the support and resources they need to break cycles and change family trees.

If you’ve ever believed in second chances — or if you’ve ever needed one — I hope you’ll grab a copy, share it with someone who works with youth, and help me spread the message.

Let’s make sure no kid feels like they’re too far gone.

This weekend, it begins.

In Jesus’ name,
