WHY LEARN THIS FROM ME
I was the student this course is about.
Born into addiction and neglect, abandoned by my parents at four, and raised by grandparents who had almost nothing. Later, I was homeless as a teen— and still showing up to school every day, because a handful of adults there had decided I was worth their attention. A coordinator, a couple of teachers, a pastor. None of them had a program or a budget. They just refused to step away.
First-generation high school graduate, master's degree, and I now train educators nationwide on this.
This isn't theory I read about. It's the thing that saved my life, broken down so you can do it on purpose.
